Before anything else, build a visual reference. Save the rings that stop your scroll. Don't overthink it, just pin. Create a folder (Pinterest, Instagram saves, screenshots, whatever works) and fill it up.

Once you've got a decent collection, start looking for patterns. Are they mostly elongated shapes? Yellow gold or white metal? Dainty, minimal bands, or something with more presence? Then take that research off-screen: try things on at local jewelers just to see what actually looks and feels right on your hand. Photos and reality don't always match.

2. Learn just enough to get started
